Deconstructing Islamophobia

Wednesday, January 20, 2016 - 6:00-8:00pm

Recent events have cast a shadow on the Muslim community bringing issues of Islamophobia to the forefront of national conversation. This event seeks to provide a brief overview of the basic tenets of Islam and to foster understanding of what it means to be Muslim within our community. Discussion will include the recent wave of Islamophobia, the rhetoric of hate and exclusion used against American Muslims, and what you can do to help.
