The purpose of the Kevin E. Kennedy Fellowship Gala is to encourage LGBTQ law students to pursue careers in the public interest or non-profit sector, where they can contribute to and support the interests of the LGBTQ community through their legal careers. Each year, through the Gala, the Outlaws provide scholarships for two 1Ls to take on summer work that engages on LGBTQ legal issues.

This year's banquet will take place on Friday, October 27, 2017 and features Ben Mizer from the Office of the Attorney General at the Department of Justice as our keynote speaker. At the banquet, we will honor the 2017 recipients of the Spectrum Fellowship and the Kevin E. Kennedy Public Interest Fellowship.
