Litigating the Trans Military Ban

Here from one of the litigators challenging the Trump Administration's ban on transgender servicemembers. She will discuss the particular case filed by her firm and the ALCU, as well as Covington's extensive pro bono work on behalf of transgender servicemembers. Professor Margo Schlanger will offer insight into her time in government and her research on civil rights lawsuits and constitutional and procedural issues.

Jaclyn Martinez Resly, Covington & Burling. Jaclyn is co-counsel in Stone v. Trump, one of the lawsuits brought to challenge the ban.

Professor Margo Schlanger, Michigan Law. Professor Schlanger is a leading expert in civil rights law and from 2010-2011 was head of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
